Evening of cooking and email

I got home yesterday to a very large bunch of fresh vegetables! So, what to do? I started to cook! But wait, what were these veggies? I'd never seen some of them before. To the batcave - vegetarian cookbook! Aha! Chard and fennel! What the hell are those!?

Anyhow, I found a pretty good slow cooker recipe for chard, sauteed some spinach, and made myself a bombtacular salad. Put my latest Amazon bounty into the iTuneser, and ate with Trent Reznor and John Coltrane while catching up on some serious email backloggage.

you can make some pseudo-potatoes :) a little fennel in the chard :)
