Movies to watch

Going through the iTunes trailers, and there are some really fun looking films coming out this summer! Thus, my summer movie watch list shall be: Angel A, Fido, Golden Door, Harry Potter, Interview, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Moliere, Mr. Brooks, Ocean's 13, Sicko, Talk to Me, and Vitus.

Now if only iTunes came with a "where the hell do I see all of these art films?" feature, I'd be golden. Driving to Santa Cruz every weekend to hit up the Nick would be fun, but, uh, $$$! Must to be learning of other nearby art film houses :-)

I saw the trailer for Chuck & Larry... I'm offended by the premise, frankly. But that's a rant for another day.

Certainly if the result of the movie is people thinking that gay marriage is a giant scam on the system, that's bad. And they probably thought that Green Card was totally romantic. Which is to say, stupid people are stupid. Hopefully this movie will be funny like sex.

No, it's not that. It's Hollywood's fascination with straight guys playing gay roles, and pretending to make the concept of queers more palatable for heterosexuals, but actually only advocating the status quo.

Ok, fair enough. But, you know, Shakespeare did something of the same.

Who said I like Shakespeare?

I kid, I kid. But really, unless this movie actually turns out to be way more brilliant than the trailer makes it out to be, it seems in bad taste to turn the issue of marriage equality into a hetero buddy flick. You can go watch it for me and let me know how it was. :p
