So we're in class right now, discussing Woody Allen's Zelig. From a film point of view. Deconstruction the mockumentary format. And people keep trying to bring up the Jewish angle. But they ain't Jewish. And they don't get it. It's killing me with laughter. And makes me wonder -- with all of the Jewish humor and Yiddish culture that's become part of the American lingo, what the hell do the goyem think of us, and do they actually "get" any of it!?

I'm reminded of Dave Chappelle's sketch "Who Knows Black People" from the first season of Chappelle's Show. Tons of black culture in American pop culture. But do we actually get it?
